Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux finally ended rumors that were going on for years and had a wedding on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 in their villa in Bel Air in Los Angeles.
“Guests were told it was a birthday party for Justin. Jen and Justin wanted to surprise guests, and guests were certainly surprised. Jen has been very good at keeping her wedding planning secret. Only her closest confidants knew that the party was actually a surprise wedding”, one of the guest told after the wedding.
Hush hush couple’s A-list guests included her Friends co-stars Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow, as well as Tobey Maguire, Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi, Jimmy Kimmel, Howard Stern, John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, Lake Bell, Billy Crudup, and photographer Terry Richardson.
The lovebirds’ backyard was transformed into a beautiful dinner party setting on a wooden floor, complete with a number of giant tables which were surrounded by seat-cushion style chairs and adorned with candles.
Caterer was seen carrying what appears to be a Muppet-inspired cake, which featured one tier and two giant Muppet characters placed on top.
Jens longtime makeup artist Angela Levin did her makeup and longtime stylist Chris McMillan worked his magic on Jen’s luscious locks.
Jennifer chose the top floral designer in Los Angeles to create gorgeous crown-like headpieces for her bridesmaids. Three headpieces were made especially for Jennifer and took almost a week to create. They had diamond-looking gems in them, along with silver wish charms like you would see on a wish bracelet, including hearts and rainbows. The entire band was in a ring shape and was also packed with little white roses, as well as other white flowers.
Former Friends actress started dating Theroux in May 2011 while filming the 2012 film Wanderlust, having met years earlier. The actress received a proposal from Theroux on his birthday in August 2012, and with it being that time of year again, a wedding would bring the long three year engagement full circle.
Shortly after the I-do’s, Justin’s cousin posted on Twitter and welcomed Jen to the family. “Welcome Jennifer Theroux!!” she wrote.
The newlyweds jetted off to their honeymoon Thursday morning out of Van Nuys Airport and off to Bora Bora.
